When your long-time friends and clients tell you that they’ve just purchased a rental cabin in North Lake Tahoe and want you to remodel it, you say “when can we start?!” Not just a source of income, this town-home style cabin will also be a family retreat away from the hustle and bustle of their home in the Bay Area. We focused on modernizing some of the very outdated elements, and tore out a central wall, opening up the tiny kitchen to create a much more ample prep and entertaining space that flows effortlessly into the rest of the main living space. The old wood burning fireplace was replaced with a gas unit, and the surrounding tiled bench was ripped out, allowing us more surface area to apply a gorgeous roman clay paint treatment to.

New paint, door hardware, and lighting fixtures completed the cabin’s mini facelift, along with furnishings where needed to create a cabin that feels welcoming, contemporary, and easy to spend time in for both my clients as well as any guests or renters.
