Hi, I’m Beth Brunner! I'm the Creative Director and Founder of Quartz and Bone.

As an interior designer, I am a divergent-thinking, grounded storyteller with a passion for textural, spacial design without pretense. My passion is curating spaces to depict the journeys of the fascinating, eclectic, independent people who live in them. From busy professionals to young families, I love creating homes that match the storied pasts that make them who they are.

I spent years learning from some of the best in the business. From my start with Studio Collective (one of the top hospitality firms in Los Angeles) to my many years working alongside the talented Jeremiah Brent, I’m confident in my experience, vision, and creativity to fulfill my clients’ dreams.

When it comes to working with my clients, by getting to know their lives, histories, driving forces, and greatest dreams, I weave those elements through their spaces, imbuing them with warmth, texture, natural materials, and a seamless mix of high and low design. Whether it’s joyous laughter or happy tears, I love seeing their enamored faces at the reveal of a project!

Beth's Story

(In less of a nutshell)

Sometime after college, with a Bachelor's Degree in Literature gathering dust on a shelf, I realized that my true, undeniable love was in architecture and interiors. I'd always had a love for colors and design -- working at a quilt shop in college taught me that I had an eye for color and a knack for pairing patterns and textures in unexpected ways.

I was living in Los Angeles at the time, and in 2010 I enrolled in UCLA's ArcID program focusing on Interior Architecture. At the same time, I earned an internship, which turned into a part time design assistant job, with Studio Collective in Santa Monica. During my time there, I worked almost exclusively on big name hospitality and commercial spaces throughout LA.

In 2012, I was awarded my Certificate in Interior Design and landed a job with superstar designer Jeremiah Brent. We worked side by side, on projects across the country from commercial spaces to high end residential homes, and I quickly became the lead design associate and project manager for Jeremiah Brent Design, finally moving to New York City to head up the firm's offices there.

My time with JBD was amazing on both a professional and personal level, but in 2016, I decided to move to Seattle, WA to settle down and start my own firm, Quartz & Bone.

So here we are! Now I focus mostly on residential projects, from renovations to kitchen design to full furniture and accessories. Now, I'd love to hear your story and intertwine your history into your home!

Are we a match?
